چکیده
Spathodea campanulata Beauv. is an important plant widely used in traditional medicine for the treatment of hepatic disease. In present study, we evaluate phytochemical composition and hepatoprotective potential effect stem root bark extracts companulata on dimethylnitrosamine (DEN) induced impairment albino rats. Phytochemical compositions were analyzed using standard protocols. Forty-five male rats grouped into 9 (A-I) 5 each. Groups A-F treated with extract, quercetin, DEN + quercetin respectively while groups G-1 serve as control corn oil only (Vehicle control), (Toxicant distilled water (normal control) respectively. was given at 25 mg/kg b.w., i.p a weekly basis all treatments administered 100 BW orally 60 days. Serum transaminase activities, body weight, liver weight ratio evaluated. Results revealed presence alkaloids, cardiac glycoside, saponins, anthraquinone, steroids, flavonoids extract companulata, contains anthraquinonoid, flavonoid. The non-treated rat exhibited significant (p<0.05) loss increase serum alanine (ALT) aspartate (AST) activities when compared normal control. Treatment significantly ameliorated toxicant induce alterations activity nontreated conclusion, this study provides scientific validation use management disorders

Objective Indiscriminate use of synthetic pyrethroid insecticides, Cypermethrin (Cyp) and Deltamethrin (Del) have been reported to cause system toxicity in mammals including humans. The dietary antioxidants protects tissues and organs against insecticides/xenobiotic induced damage. In present study, we evaluated the effect of exposure of Cyp and Del and possible protective roles of curcumin and...

The carcinogenic potencies of 3,4-dichloro- and 3,4-dibromonitrosopiperdine were compared with that of nitrosopiperidine by feeding to groups of 15 male rats in drinking water. A treatment of 15 weeks with a total of 0.5 mmole of the dichloro compound led to death of all animals before 24 weeks with tumors of the tongue, pharynx, esophagus, nonglandular stomach, nasal turbinates, trachea, bronc...
